WHEN Oliver Knight started his career in property, joining an estate agency fresh out of school at the age of 16, it was his job to get the camera films developed, and to glue the photos of houses and flats to their sales literature, helping potential home owners, who would come in, clutching the local newspaper property section, rings drawn around houses of interest.

Before the days when buying and letting revolved around email alerts, internet viewings and Rightmove, that’s how business was done.

If you wanted to move, you would browse the window of your local estate agent, picking up a sheet of paper with a short description and a stuck-on photo, relying on their local area expertise to establish where would suit you best, be it for transport links or the best schools.

That’s a mere 20 years ago, but as far as the property market is concerned it’s a distant memory.

All industries have changed with the advent of the internet (and everything that has followed since) estate agency being no exception.

And the key is to thrive on changing with it, as Oliver Knight’s brand-new venture shows.

Having established his own agency, Knight & Rennie, back in 2004, building a business which became the leading estate agent for Leamington Spa and the surrounding area, Knight & Rennie merged with Sheldon Bosley in 2016, creating Sheldon Bosley Knight.

There, Oliver headed up a booming new homes division, rapidly growing to account for a significant amount of all sales transactions across the company within just one year.

Now, building on that success he’s changing with the industry once again, launching Oliver Knight New Homes.

The new business further opens-up Oliver’s unrivalled expertise of the current new homes market – a market which continues to be driven by huge demand, new homes transactions fast overtaking those in the wider housing market.

Oliver and his team know what is selling now, and therefore, what should be built to achieve optimum sales.

“The knowledge we have comes only from spending time on the ground showing potential buyers new homes and gaining an unrivalled insight into exactly what clinches the best sales in the current market,” Oliver Knight comments.

“Of course, the market is always changing, and we’re at the very forefront of that – whether it’s a particular layout or an area at the back of the garage to wash and dry the dog. And it’s that knowledge that achieves the best sales.”

Be it the site flags or the sales brochure, Oliver and his team are there to advise and support at every stage – from potential development plot through to planning, build, finishing, site marketing and sale.

And to respond as the property industry continues to change.

Current developments for Oliver Knight New Homes span the south Warwickshire and south Cotswold areas – from executive village homes or luxury farm barn conversions, to town centre lofts or two-bed starters.
