STRATFORD Town Trust is to hold its next members’ surgery at the end of the month – and there’s still time to join the charity and get involved.

Surgeries will now be held on a monthly basis – giving members an opportunity to chat one-to-one with trustees, sharing their views, providing input and raising any concerns.

The next surgery takes place on Thursday October 27th between 5pm and 7pm in the Marketspace at Stratford ArtsHouse.

It will be followed by further surgeries at the same time and venue on the last Thursday of every month, excluding December. Confirmed dates are: November 24th, January 26th, February 23rd and March 30th.

The surgeries are open to members only – but joining the Town Trust is fast and free, meaning any resident of Stratford-upon-Avon town can get involved, as long as they are over 18 and have proof of address.

“We have more than 2,000 members and that’s fantastic – but everyone living in the town should be involved in the Trust and all that we do,” Justin Williams, Stratford Town Trust’s Chief Executive, said.

“We are the custodians for the community – and we want to actively engage with our members to ensure that we focus our activities on objectives that the community values. Our sole purpose as a charity is to support the people of Stratford-upon-Avon – and the more those people engage with us, the more we can do.”

In addition to the planned surgeries – Mr Williams, who took over as Chief Executive in August – is also welcoming the community to his office. His door is open between 10am and 2pm every Friday for anyone – whether they are a member of the Town Trust or not – to drop-in and talk to him.
