The Guild Chapel

The Guild Chapel – one of Stratford-upon-Avon’s most important and historic buildings is a very genuine hidden gem. When the Heritage Lottery Fund awarded a substantial grant to support the conservation of its medieval wall paintings (amongst the rarest and finest in Europe – and covered up post-Reformation in the 16th Century by none other than Shakespeare’s dad) it was time to showcase this lesser known jewel in Stratford’s crown. It’s been a real privilege to be a part of it. We’ve given the Chapel its own identity – designing a logo, building a website, setting up social media channels. We’ve created displays from scratch – from the huge timeline now hanging in the porch to the hard-bound visitor guidebooks. We’ve created postcards and souvenir guide books too. We’ve helped organise, advertise and promote a whole range of events. Then there’s the media coverage – from live broadcasts on the BBC news to articles in the Times, Guardian, Telegraph, Daily Mail and overseas too. And last but certainly not least, we’ve built and maintained a really good local following too – from great photo ops for our local papers to great interview ops for our local radio.

Heart of England Mencap

Heart of England Mencap – a wonderful charity working across Warwickshire and Worcestershire to support people with learning disabilities. We’ve loved supporing HofE Mencap with its media coverage, working with the marketing and fundraising team to shout about all of the brilliant things going on – and there are so many! From the fundraisers (skydives to bike rides to balls) to the projects enabled by grants and donations; photography exhibitions, adaptive rowing sessions, the penning of a book. We’re so well supported by our local media across both counties, all really keen to help publicise the services the charity offers, and also combat the stigma that can still very sadly be associated with learning disabilities. We aimed for a story a week in one local news service of another – and we cracked it. We’ve also planned and written the copy for the charity’s new website, and devised and penned everything from service brochures to corporate fundraiser booklets.

We love a website

The first thing you do when looking for/at a company or organisation? Go to the website. And for that reason, it needs to be spot on – clear messaging to win your audience within seconds. Whether it’s a new build or a re-build, we know it can seem rather daunting – and that’s where we’re here to help. We love websites, and content planning is something of a speciality of ours. We can manage the whole process for you – we can build great little template-based websites on a budget (perfect for start-ups or small enterprises), or completely bespoke sites for a bit of bigger budget, working with expert web developers. If you have the developer and just need content support that’s no problem either – call us in to content plan, manage, or to copywrite for you. Everything we do is tailored to each client, as much or as little as required. We’ve built, or produced content, for some really cracking little sites recently – and it doesn’t end there. You’ll need lots of lovely fresh content and good web management to keep your site performing at its best – and we can help there too.

Stratford Town Trust

Stratford Town Trust – the grant-giving charity awarding millions to support the community in Stratford-upon-Avon has been a client for a number of years. We’ve developed a great working relationship handling: media, photography, grant stories, newsletters, e-shots, activity reports, websites (both the construction of new ones and the management of existing) branding and logo designs, social media account management, consultancy and comms planning, we could probably go on! It’s brilliant work – work which brings us into contact with so many other amazing charities and causes here in our hometown.

Freelance journalism

You can take the journo out of the newsroom but…… We’ll never stop being writers, and as well as lending our expertise (and passion for words) to our copywriting and comms portfolio, we’re freelance journos too, ready to turn our notebooks to any story for any audience.  From breaking news on big cats (usually they turn out to be small ones) or our recent front page cover interview for a national men’s magazine (Bill Bailey is a lovely interview), if you need a safe pair of hands for a cracking good story, we’re here to help.
